Collective Order : multiple orders for same product

Dear all,

here is the situation I met in my company :

My production ordrers are defined in a collective order model.

A consums B

B consums C and D

C consums D

When I create an order, here is the result

Order for A

      Order for B

               Order for C

                      Order for D

                Order for D

In reality, we would like to get only one order in my collective Order model for product D.

Is there a way to ask SAP to  creeate only 1 order by product, Inside a collective order ?

Thansk for your help

Pierre

Hi Pierre

On the standard system is it not possible to merge 2 different orders belonging to different levels of the collective order structure. That's because these orders would probably have different dates and it would not be possible to manage the consumption correctly.

Maybe you can add the total quantity on the lower level and make component D a bulk material on the upper level.

Thanks for your reply Caetano.

I was afraid to get this answer, but it seems logical wtih the collective order philosophy.

I will try the solution of bulk material.
