Hello All,
I'm familiar with Xcelsius, but not so much Tableau. I was wondering if it was possible to pass parameter from Xcelsius into Tableau?
Lets say I make a selection from a scorecard it gives me para1 and para2. I click on a button and send it Tableau. Is something like this possible?
Thanks,
Scottie
Sure, it's the same concept as creating variable opendocument statements with prompt filter values in order to jump to filtered Webi reports.
Just use the component events to write selected data to the embedded Excel, where in another cell a URL is built up with references to the cells containing the filtervalues. Something like this
"http://servername/views/.../dashboardname?parameter="& reference to cell containing filtervalue.
Use an URL-button to use the link on your dashboard.
Cheers,
