MRP generated material purchase requisitions date to be triggered from operation start dates defined in PM Work Order.

We have a requirement of MRP generated material purchase  requisitions date to be triggered from operation start dates defined in PM Maintenance Order (Work Order). Currently MRP is triggering  purchase  requisitions as per the Basic start date / current date as defined in work order header data and not as per the different operations dates to which Materials are assigned.

Sample data:

  1. Material “M-1” is required for operation “10” with a scheduled start date of 11/02/2015. The required qty of  Material “M-1” is entered  in operation  10 of the work order along long with Plant, storage location info.
  2. Another Material “M-2” is required for operation “20” with a scheduled start date of 03/24/2016. The required qty of  material “M-2” is entered  in operation  20 of the work order along long with Plant, storage location info.

Our requirements are :

MRP to create purchase  requisitions for Material “M-1”  with a requirement date of 11/02/2015 and Material “M-2”  with a requirement date of 03/24/2016 as per the operation start date set up within the Work Order. But the purchase  requisitions are created with a requirement date of 10/21/2015 (default basic start date).

Please let me know how to address the above requirement. Thanks !

Note: We are not using  purchase  requisitions   for external operations/ subcontracting.

Srinivas,

First, your post is detailed, clear, and organized.  Well done!

What do you have for Scheduling Parameters in config (OPU7) for Adjust Scheduling>Adjust Dates? The default is 2 Do not adjust basic dates, dep. reqmts to operation dates.

If you use <blank> Adjust basic dates, dep. reqmts to operation date, your requisition dates should follow the scheduled date of the WO Operation.
