BOBJ 4.1 SP06 Installation

Former Member

Dear Experts,

In past, I have done only ERP and NetWeaver installations and not BOBJ (BusinessObjects BI).

If I understand correctly, BOBJ is just a Frond end WebGUI BI application, right?

For release 4.1 SP06, can we use MS SQL server 2008 r2 database?

Any suggestions, please?

Thanks & best regards,

Sreenu

Hi Sreenu,

Yes you are right ,SAP Businessobjects is a front-end application.

MS SQL server 2008 r2 is not supported with 4.1 .

Please refer PAM of 4.1--

Hi Rajshree,

Above PAM link doesn't mention that MS SQL server 2008 r2 not supported.

Could you please let me know the slide number?

Thank you,

SQL Server 2008 R2 is supported based on PAM.

What is your server platform?

BOBJ is web based and also has thick clients where developers can build semanic layer and reports.
