Process Chain Runtime Statistics
I would want to know the reason for long running process chains.
Is there any program or module which would give info on ABAP, CPU , Database e.t.c as to which of this has taken more time in the process chain runtime?

Long running process chains are basically based on the jobs/process variants included in them. Its not a good idea to analyse the process chain rather than analysing a process variant.
Take a long running process chain and see the individual steps in it to see which step takes long time. ST13 --> BW Tools will give you the runtime of each process variants.
Then looking into each variant, continue your analysis. If its a DTP which is taking long time in the process chain, see how much data is being loaded. What is the transformation rules included. Is there any routines written? Is it full load or delta load.
Do these analysis on the process variant, not on the process chain.
