Implementation of RETA - auto SL determination.

Hello Experts ,

I am working on automatic storage location determination in delivery . My understanding to this as below .

Rules need to be assigned to delivery document type.Following are the rules.

MALA= Shipping point/plant/storage Condition YY= by user EXIT. MARE= MALA then RETA( back up procedure) RETA= Plant/situation (SITUA)/storage condition

1. MALA is very common and used based on customization ( SP+Plant+ SC) I am clear and tested .

2. I  am clear on YY- using exit V02V0002- User exit for storage location determination

3. MARE is back up procedure for MALA and RETA.

4. RETA is still unclear .

    I needed help to understand if any one has implemented RETA. SAP says its mostly used in trading and retail scenarios. I  am able to define situation. Not sure how SAP will reference the situation  defined  .if Situation has to be stored in external table or master data or at transaction level .

Any exit or include has to be looked upon.If any one has worked on RETA , valuable input would be appreciated.

Hi JM ,

It seems you are right . SAP also has not given much information on the same.I will wait for more response from board members on this topic .
