Hello Everyone,
We have a requirement of changing the background color of detailed navigation in portal 7.3 which has a bold blue color by default on the left had side.
I couldn't find a customizing option for this in the theme editor under content management.
Kindly let me know what is the way to resolve this. Thank you.
Regards,
Naveen

Hi Naveen,
In addition to what Sandip mentioned I want to present a way to know how to change all available parameters in theme editor tool:
1- open your portal system in the browser.
2- open browser developer tool by click on: "F12".
3- inspect relevant element that you want to change.
4- in the inspected element search for css class that related to the element.
5- put the css class in theme locator tool as explained in following tool:
6- some of the css class are not exposed in theme editor and you can change them by integrity component as explained in following note: 1752515 - Updating Customer Theme Parameters Not Exposed in the Theme Editor

The blue color consists of many images, you can change them in theme editor under
theme editor =->detailed nav ->outer frame -> layout ->left panel
check the guide - How to customize your Ajax Framework page with SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.30
its available on sdn..just google it..

Hi Sandip,
Thanks a lot for your response, I have gone through this link earlier and as you stated i have found that i need to change lots of images to get the new color in place of the whole blue color in the background of the detailed navigation. I wanted to know is this the only solution or do you have any other property in which changing the background color or image of that alone would reflect in total detailed navigation background.
Once again appreciate your help. Thank you
Regards,
Naveen
Hi Maveen
What do you mean? the old theme editor or the new theme designer?
Moreover on which desktop do you want to change for example classic or ajax?

Dear Naveen
The desktop Ajax Theme Studio is based on images.
The bold blue color on the left side is an image.
To change the color of the images you can use the Ajax Theme Studio
Beware the Ajax theme studio will change the color of all the images in the Ajax desktop
Regards
Matan
