Hi there,

We are starting with ecatt. and planning to maintain the scripts in the central system DCS (DEVELOPMENT) or PCS(PRODUCTION)

We have our core modules in DTP(Dev), QTP(testing) and PTP( prod).

We want to execute the scripts in QTP that should be possible through RFC.

However when using SECATT and SAPGUI command in DCS we want to physically record the script in QTP. Also at later stage want to transport all the scripts from DCS to PCS.Could anyone please plet me know the feasiblity.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

To connect SECATT and QTP you go to QTP, tools --> options, there you will have option "eCATT Connection"

Provide the logon details

Click on Record to connect to SAP eCATT

Enter the Tcode and process Transaction and Logoff when done.

When you click save in QTP, test script is generated and saved in SAP eCATT

And for Central Storage of Scripts, go to Transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN, Open project, under System Landscape Tab you will find Central Objects tab, there select eCATT and Assign your DCS system.

Hope this solves your problem.

Feel free to revert back.

My suggestion is that you use Solution Manager as the central test server.

referens to SAP Solution Manager 4.0. In this way you will have al your documentation and test scripts in an central repository and you do not have to transport your scripts.

hi,

yes this is posible you can record the others systems screens also but you need to maintain an rfc connection and ther is a option rmote transaction or dont know the name exactly,

and yes you can move the scripts from one system to other by transport requests.
