Change of Commercial UOM

Hi Gurus,

It is possible to change commercial name of the unit of measurement in SAP R/3 server.

In our sap server commercial unit name is CV.

it is possible to change commercial unit  CV as CS?

If changed commercial unit it will any effected to conversion data?

experts please cleared my doubts.

The units are stored in any other table with its internal unit (I dont speak for Z-tables and Z-programs)

The commercial unit is just a language depending name that is presented to the user and printed on forms, a change will technically  within the SAP standard not have any negative effect.

It may effect on any another conversation data of Main unit of measurement?

Hi Jash

I don't think that you will face any negative effect on standard programs with this change. Nevertheless, you should test carefully on your system, as it may affect custom programs, exits, etc...
