SPM 3.0: 'Retrieving Metadata' never stops

Dear all,

We have newly configured SPM 3.0 on SAP BW 7.4 system and completed all configuration/ installation steps as per the configuration guide for SPM3.0.

However, on starting SPM UI, we get a message 'Retrieving Metadata' which keeps running as shown in the image. Also, for creating new report, no dimensions/ measures are available.

We have checked the SAP Note 1771766 - SPM: "Retrieving Metadata" message never completes and confirmed all configuration steps.

Please help with any further pointers on possible issue.

Dear all,

The issue is resolved by BASIS. My user ID was missing in the portal system and hence was not active for SSO. The ID was created in Portal and now the metadata is available.
