Hi experts,

Is it possible to release a sales order again after it has been released ?

1. Customer Demand for the sales order has also been released.

2. Outbound Delivery has also been created without released.

The sales order is in Status "In Process" and "Release" button is grey out.

Best Regards

Fred

Hi Fred,

As you told in your question that

2. Outbound Delivery has also been created without released.

So i have given the answer in that case. You have many option to get the open status, just reverse the whole process & then you are able to get OPen status.

Hi Anant.

Yes, thanks.

I first cancel the OD and then reject the delivery request.

Dear Fred,

Once cancel the OD with adjustment confirmation, you need to reject the delivery request.

Now in customer demand the released status will be 'not released', 'delivery status will be not started'.

now you should be able to edit your SO to increase or decrease the quantity.

I tested in my test tenant and was able to successfully edit the quantity.

Could you also clarify what it the status of your warehouse request as well if you still facing issue.

Hi Fred,

You can edit the Sales Order until the status becomes Completed means till you create Customer Invoice.

You just need to add one more line item and then you can release it again.

Hi Anant,

I cannot change the quantity after Customer Demand has been released.

I want to reduce the quantity.

Hi Fred,

Then you should reject the Sales Order Item. For example in SO Item 10 you want to sell 10 ea of product XYZ. The Customer Demand is released for 7 ea so the open quantity is 3 ea. Now you maintain a reason for rejection so the open quantity of 3 is rejected. Hope this clarify your question.

Thanks and best regards

Hi Fred,

If you need to reduce the quantity of that existing Line Item you don't have the option for that because the quantity field is greyed out.

You can do one thing, suppose if you have line item with 100 each & you need to reduce it to 50 then you can just deliver the 50 each & then you can can finish the sales order and then the status becomes Completed.

Hi Anant,

Thanks.

I just reject the Delivery Request and the Customer Demand becomes "Not Released" and

the sales order also becomes "Open" again.

Best Regards

Fred
