Kernel related question

Hello

I had a question related to availability of patches for SAP Kernel 742 Unicode Linux Oracle

On SWDC, I see the latest available kernel patch for SAP Kernel 742 Unicode Linux Oracle is 200 but I found a note for regression of 742 patch level 225 2218814 - Known regressions in kernel 7.42 patch level 225

Where can I find 742 patch level 225 ?

I do see dw.SAR  patch 225 on SWDC

Thanks

Shradha

Hi Shradha,

You can consider 200 patch level of kernel 742 as the second main patch release. Whatever issues which are fixed after the 200 patch level releases are delievered in disp+work packages in a periodic interval. So patch level 225 acutally means the disp+work package of 742 kernel.

Additionally if you want to know known regressions for any kernel you can search by the keyword KRNL<release>PL<patch level> in the "Search for SAP Notes, Knowledge Base Articles and more" section in service market place.

Regards,
Shanthosh

Dear Shradha,

yes, the dw_225*.sar is the patch you are looking for.

The 'disp+work package' is mainly a subset of the 'Kernel Part I' package.

Hello Shradha,

Although the note 2218814 is published, but the kernel patch can't be downloaded now (You can ask SAP about release time of the patch 225 or newer for kernel 742).
