Manual printing for a Production Order Type ?

Dear Seniors,

We have currently 4 production order types in our system.

When the order is released, the order is printed automatically.

We want one of the Order Types to be printed only manually

Do you know where to configure that ?

Hello Alex,

  Check with the production scheduling profile linked with that order type which controls the printing.

Hi Alex

As our fried Velmurugan pointed, the customizing to define if the order will be printed on release is available at production scheduling profile and this profile is assigned to the material, not to the order type.

As far as I know, there is no customizing to control that on material level. What you can try is to use BAdI WORKORDER_UPDATE to change the production scheduling profile depending on the order type, but maybe that would be a too complex solution for a simple requirement.

Thanks for your input. Unfortunately the Prod Scheduling Profile does not allow print control based on Order Type, but based on Material. And, we can have for the same Material, multiple prod order created.

It confirmed by knowledge also that in standard SAP printing automatically can be configured only based on prod order profile.

We will take in consideration that Badi and see if all the work of implementing that is worth

Alex we can assign default order type in Production scheduling profile which can be assigned to the material.In this way order type is linked with material master.

Velmurugan, we have the Standard Order Type assigned to the Production Scheduling Profile.

The order type that we want special printing is not standard.
