Explorer in PROD refuses to Index - works in DEV
Hi everyone. This is stumping me and could use your thoughts on the matter.
We're using a BEX query in PROD to feed a unv to run a Bus Explorer.
After promotion it generates the error below. I attempted to save and export to PROD with same results.
The DEV and PROD universes are both using the BEX query from PROD so no connection changes is needed.
So the BEX is common, the Connection is common. Restarted the Explorer services as well.
Any thoughts on the matter that I'm missing?
Prompt response is very helpful as you can imagine being a production issue.
Server, XXX.ExplorerIndexingServer, generated the following messages:
Index Creation Failed (
The execution of the specified analysis query failed. -The database SQL generation parameters file could not be loaded (SAP Business Warehouse, SAP BAPI) .

In order to be able to open the KBA you need to have access account to Home | SAP Support Portal
Anyway, in major cases the issue is due to the fact that during the initial BI server install some DLL files did not get registered.
In order to resolve the issue you need to perform a repair on the main BI Platform installation from Control Panel -> Programs and Features.
