how to schedule background jobs in DEV server?

What jobs are to be shedule in development server?

I know the transaction sm37&sm36.but how to configure

Hi aman,

SAP note 16083 will teach you how to schedule SAP Standard Jobs, besides that

If you want to schedule background jobs for administering database activities also, then you have to go to DB13 and schedule jobs for daily/weekly/monthlys checks.

you can schedule DB jobs like

Whole database offline + redo log backup

Whole database offline backup

Whole database online + redo log backup

Whole database online backup

Redo log backup

Partial database offline backup

Partial database online backup

Check optimizer statistics

Update optimizer statistics

Adapt next extents

Check database

Cleanup logs

you have deside which jobs to run daily/weekly/monthly.

go into transaction code SM36 and click on the STANDARD JOBS icon...

read SAP note 16083: Standard jobs, reorganization jobs

It explains the whole process.
