Weight is different than sum of items

Hi all,

I have an outbound delivery order.

Every position has it's brut weight (double click on item, Tab "Addl Quantities").

If I sum these weights, I get 16.737,342 KG.

On header level, tab "Addl Quantities" has a weight of 16.875,714 KG

Checking the master data, on header level it's calculating with the weight of pieces, on item level system is calculating with cases.

How to tell the system it should use the sum of items?

Thanks

Michael

Hi Michael,

which user interface / transaction are you using ? The /SCWM/PRDO?

Do all items have the same UOM (KG) or do they have different UOMs?

Maybe you can also have a look at note 1475256 which describes a BAdI with which you can influence the weight/volume aggregation for the deliveries.

Best regards

Markus

Hi Markus,

thanks for your response.

Yes, it's the prdo.

Check all positions - on position level I got always weight in KG, requested qty is in pieces, alternative unit is case.

On header level it's also KG.

So I think I have to check the BAdI, or you have a different idea.

Thanks

Michael

Hi Michael,

basically the item weight/volume is usually (if no catch weight, ...) calculated based on the IM/ALTER UOM. So in your case based on cases. The result for an item is x KG.

The header just sums the list of the weight/volumes of the items . So the sum of the volume/weight of all items.

It does not sum up the number of cases of the items and then calculate the header weight. It just sums up the already calculated weights of the items (wich are in KG).

Best regards

Markus
