damages&causes not displaying in iw21

Dear Experts,

When i create the notification in iw21 the damage codes and causes are not displaying,please help on this.

I have done all the configurations assign noti type to catalogs,

maintained catalog profile all the standards has been taken,

and one more thing that when i opened the qs42,i have entered the catalog and code group what ever i have uploaded appear.So please kindly help me on this.

'Not appearing'  is a very vague word Narasimharao. You need to tell clearly (if needed with screen-shots), that


  • What Catalog Profile you have created?
  • Have you put the Damages and Causes Code Groups in the OQN6 (Catalog Profile)?
  • Where you are putting this Catalog profile?
  • What is the Catalog Profile of the Notification type?
  • What is the Catalog Profile of the technical object?
  • What is appearing when you click on F4 help in Catalogs&Codes Item tab (in Object part or in Damage)?
  • Have you tried the Notification menu to select Catalog Profile: Extras > Settings > Catalog Profile > Selection...?

OK, this part I understood. Now please tell what is happening when you click on the Code Group F4 help in the Object part & Damage tab in the Notification?

Hello Narasimharao,

  • You will be able to see when the Catalog Profile field in the Equipment (or Functional Location) on which the Notification is being made, is filled. Have you checked this?
  • One more thing is you should have given the Catalog profile name at the time of Notification type Configuration also.
  • The Equipment Catalog Profile overrides the Notification Profile.
