Change Profitability segment in Billing document

Hi,

We changed the structure of product hierachy in material masters hence changed the same in relevant open sales orders as well as profitability segments of these sales orders.

Now we want to change the product hierachy value in the profitability segment of relevant open billing documents also, which are not yet released for accounting.

But in billing document items, profitability segment is in grey mode.

Could you please suggest if there is any way to resolve it.

Hi Madhu

How many such open Billing docs you have?

If you have few, I would suggest post them to FI-COPA first, then using KE4S, reverse the COPA doc

Then use KE4S once again, with the option "Redetermine PSG" and push the SD Invoice to COPA

Else, you can follow note 70231 and redetermine PSG during Invoice.. This will address all such future cases also

Thanks for your reply.

We are having around 1000+ open billing documents in which the product hierachy needs to be changed (which is in grey mode).

Even if we cancel (KE4S00) the CO-PA document and repost it again (KE4S) using 'Redetermine Prof. Seg.' option, system is still picking the product hierachy from the billing document (which is old one) and hence no change in the CO-PA document.

Now, we are checking on the option of using SAP note 70231 to redetermine the profitability segment based on the relevant sales order.
