Does SUSE Linux support SMP 3.0 and Work Manager 6.2

Hi Team,

We currently have SUSE Linux installed at one of our Clients.

They want to go ahead with installing Work Manager 6.2 with SMP 3.0.

Hence, just needed to know if SUSE Linux supports SMP 3.0 and Work Manager 6.2 or would there be any compatibility issues between them.

Also, need to know which version of SUSE Linux would be needed for the same.

Regards,

Aaron D'C

For questions like this the best answer is to check the Product Availability Matrix (Product Availability Matrix | SAP Support Portal) to confirm versions supported for the SMP3 Runtime platform.  You will need a Windows machine for any configuration changes you want to make to the Work Manager definitions.

Hi Bill,

With reference to your reply, If we want to make any configuration changes in Work Manager then we need to have SMP 3.0 installed on Windows OS or We can have SM 3.0 on Linux OS and install eclipse on some Windows system for any configuration changes to Work Manager.

Suggest if in case of scenario where we require to make configuration changes to Work manager then SMP 3.0 on Windows OS or Linus OS is better.

Vishal,

The Editor needs to be on Windows.  The SMP3 server can be windows or Linux.

Most developers also run a local SMP3 server on their development machine for testing local changes and then once complete will upload to the landscape (DEV/TEST/PROD) which can be either linux or windows.
