Hi Saurabh,

This will work only if you use Netweaver 2004s stack with a SP 11 installed.

This will not work on the 04 stack.

You can use this tool to create online applications.

Hi Karthik,

Thanks for the reply.

That is not a good news at all. Why is it so?

Now what must a person using a Netweaver 2004 stack do?

Have you tried developing applns with it?

Regards,

Suarabh.

Hi Saurabh,

The reason for it is Netweaver 2004 is an older release and it will reach end of maintenance in a few years, it will not be feasible to add any new developments into it.

Unfortunately your only option is to upgrade to Netweaver 2004s stack.

I have just downloaded the files and reading up the documentation, so I should have a test application soon!

Hi experts,

I am working on model driven mobile application. I have my NWDS 04s SP 10 server.

Do I compulsory need to upgrade it to SP 11? Or is it optional and my application will work fine?

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Mehul,

The installation guide mentions that you have to be on SP11, you will not be able to do this with SP10. Upgrade is the only option

If you just want to build the test applications to play around with this tool, you can install Eclipse on local machine and install the Mobile Application Modeller. I am not sure so far how much this will be useful for building real applications but I tried it for test applications and it worked well.
