Hello every one,
Im new to sap pm, i want to know about list editing in sap pm.
Thanks®ards,
sudheer reddy.
Hello Sudheer,
This term List Editing is used to refer the standard ALV list reports which were already mentioned through above replies. they are called so because: for example either in IH08 or IE05 or IW28 or IW38 etc we select a number of line items and then click on Detail icon (Magnifying Glass) in the application tool bar we will be taken to the first object in change mode. Here we EDIT the object for required changes and click on Save. As soon as we click on save it goes to the next object of the list you've selected and presents to you foe changes. This function is clearly called the List Editing.
Now there is confusion (for me) about this term, if comes to customizing (spro). This list editing is referred to other transactions.

sudheer reddy,
I've always found the term "List Edit Report" a little confusing too...
This term appears to have originated in the PM/CS Modules.
Essentially these are just reports that list data e.g. equipment, orders, etc.
I guess the "edit" part means to those reports where you can change data e.g. IW38, IW28, etc.

HI sudheer,
List editing is basically creating or editing list of objects such as equipments, functional locations, notifications, orders & other documents.
For example
IE10 - is used for creating multiple equipments
IE05 -change multiple equipments
Ih08 - list viewing/editing for functional location
Iw28 - editing list of notifications
iw38 - editing list of orders

Hi,
List editing is nothing but entering large amount of data at the same time using a reference data. In SAP PM, we widely use in Equipments and Functional Locations
