No Backend services found while activating Odata services

Hi Friends,

We setup Trusted RFC connection and tested with Remote Logon/Connection/Authorization test and working fine. We activated services in SICF (NWG system) and when we are trying to activate OData services, it says "No backend services found".

We checked all settings and connections and all looks good. Can you please let us what we are missing.

We are in NW Gateway 7.4 SP11

Regards

Srikanth

Hi Srikanth;

Which OData service you are trying to activate.

If it is generic ODATA services used for launchpad and launchpad designer then system alias should be local.

Providing a screenshot will help.

Hi Sarbjeet,

Thanks for your reply, issue got resolved actually it is SAP system alias name which was not matching to System ID.

My question, should SAP system alias name should be always System id. Can't we keep any name as we required ??

Hi Srikanth;

This is not required. I have always used some generic name for that. Name can be anything. You need to make sure that same name is present in the ODATA service also. and the RFC Destination, client and System mentioned are correct. Please find the image where I have given a generic name.
