Overlapping check for Archived Data Area for InfoProvider

Hello All,

I am trying to reload data ( high volume ) from PSA to one of Cube using DTP.

During the process I have noticed in the Job Overview of DTP  that there is statement, after every

data Package which states  'Overlapping Check for Archived Data Area for Infoprovider' .

And this is taking around more than one half hour to execute the statement.

And this overlapping check is done after every data package which is causing a lot of delay in data loading.

Earlier this Year, we did the same loading to same Info cube ( after deleting all the contents from the cube) ,

and the DTP completed execution in 4-5 hours.

Yes,this time we did a selective deletion from cube, and try to reload the data again,

but its taking more than 40-45 hours for completing a execution of DTP.

My Idea is to get insight, if selective deletion hampers the loading performance of the cube

when compared to completely deleting the data from cube and reloading the same ?

Note: Indexes of cube were deleted , BWA Index were disabled before start of the loading data to cube.

Hi Yogesh,

This issue occurs when data volume is more. So try to increase the packet size in DTP from  50,000 to 100,000 or more. Also increase the "number of Process" in "Settings for Batch Manager" under "goto" Menu.

I think this should help.
