View checked out file

I seem to remember previously that we had functionality in SAP DMS to view a checked out file if it had been previously checked in.

I.e. user A checks out file and user B wants to display the file (obviously not the current file being edited, but the previous copy that was checked in)only.

Is this possible?

Hi Athol,

yes it is possible. This should work if you have maintained at least one status for the document type as status type 'O' in transaction DC10.

If such a status exists and user A edit the file the status is changed to the one of type 'O' and then other users are able to display the last checked in version of the file.
