Not release document if level with no agents

Hi People!!

We are using standard workflows levels, (using RR_ROLE for example) and want to avoid reléase if some workflow level have no agents.

It´s strange that it was not standard, because WF finish in error after that, but without error or warning at release time.

Any customizing to do this? I´m looking for but not found anything yet.

Thanks and best regards!

Hi,

So Carla, in order to be clear, you are in SRM using the process workflow (not the application workflow)

Workflow do not skip a level of approval if the agent (approver) is not found, it puts the workflow in eror in order for the workflow administrator to find why there is a missing agent and to correct it.

The process workflow determines which rule shall be applied and then find for the relevant step the role to find the agent.

Here in your example your company has determined that someone had for instance not enought approval limit to approve the shopping cart, then it tries to find the manager of the last approver but if there is no approver then the rule of the company is still the shopping cart shall not be approved and it needs to find someone. (then the workflow administrator shall find why it is  not maintain...)

Why it does not raised an error while saving the Shopping cart, well the shopping cart is correct, the validation process is found, it is only the agent that are not found, so normally it should not be and error for the requester, in fact as soon as the agent is placed in the hierarchy, and the administrator recalculate the rule to find the agent the shopping cart will follow the process so why preventing a requester to saved his shopping cart ?

I hope this clarifies the situation

Best regards

Stephane
