This was asked a few years ago in this thread :
The SWF example was posted but not the .XLF and it does everything that I would like but again the thread was old. Does anyone have the related .XLF or know how to calculate the values between 2 numbers to get the nice curve look ?
Its quite important to complete the look of a dashboard I am working on.

I think in the example a bunch of additional data points are created in Excel, so it looks like the line is way more curved.
It also seems like there are 2 charts placed on top of each other. The original one is used to show the dots (and the mouse overs). The curved one has no mouse over labels.

Thanks for the response. I did notice that the chart was made up of lots of data points creating a faux curve. The curved chart does have mouse over values they are just tiny and hard to hover over.
I will check the links out you have suggested as i want to make the chart dynamic so I need to work out an equation that will calculate these for me on the fly.
