Hello Manoj,

The question is not really clear to me. Do you want to deploy these SCAs on the NWDI machine? What would be the reason for that?

For the question: How to install additional usage types:

Please check out the intstallation guide for your system/release: "If your SAP NetWeaver 7.3 or 7.31 Java system already exists, and you want to install additional product instances on top, you have to do this as described in Installing Additional Product Instances in an Existing SAP System, available in the Software Update Manager Guide for Java systems."

Example:

Update of SAP Systems Using Software Update Manager 1.0 SP14 -> Chapter 8: Installing Additional Usage Types (Technical Usages) in an Existing SAP System

As you can see you will need a stack.xml for the procedure.

Regarding the question, how to install software components, I can deploy the SCA via telnet, but there is no point to simply deploy them. The SUM tool will not allow you to deploy SCAs as you need a stack.xml for that.

Or do you need these SCAs to set up a track in NWDI?

Best Regards,

Peter
