Disable editing fields in MM02

Hello

I would like to lock the field MARA-MSTAE in the basic data 1 in material document MM03, in order not to fill it with any value.

Hello Iba,

Yes, It is possible to change the filed: you can set as optional/Mandatory/Hide/Display and Save the changes against to your tcode.

Please follow the below step

1.First check the field selection group with help of the OMSR,

   enter the field and find out the filed selection group number.

2. Go to T-code: OMS9

Insert the filed selection group number 155 (MARA-MSTAE),

Choose the filed ref MM01/MM02,  select the filed optional/Mandatory/Hide/Display as per your requirement and Save the changes.

Hi Iba,

Go to SPRO-> Logistics – General-> Material Master-> Field Selection-> Define Lock-Relevant Fields

mark field MARA-MSTAE as locked relevant

go to material master as lock the field by selecting lock button

The given field will be grayed out (non editable)

Authorization group M_MATE_MAF can be used to restrict it at user level.
