Hello,
Please let me know how to configure Oracle 11g r2 for SMP3.0 Sp3.Can we do via gui or only using command prompt for SMP3 .

Hi Karthik,
The steps to install custom DB is clearly mentioned in the installation guide: http://help.sap.com/Download/Multimedia/zip-smp/install/win/smp_server_installation_win.pdf

You have to look at the PAM (product availability matrix) to find the list of supported DBs. The link to PAM is provided in the guide.
You would be configuring the DB through command line interface.

Hi Midhun,
I have installed Oracle 11 G.Noted down the host,user and port parameters.I am installing SMP3 and oracle dB in the same server
Post installation ,I am struck in the
1)Open the 001_SMP3_drop_and_create_user using wordpad,in the last line entered EXIT; and saved as smp3.sql
2)StepNo7..it says Save and close smp3.sql.
3)Step 8:it says Enter: sqlplus-username-password-servername /@ @smp3.sql > smp3.log
where should I enter the above command ?

Do you want to configure oracle DB for SMP3? As custom Database?
Please be more specific with your query.
Latest version for SMP3 is SP09. Please use latest version to get advantage of latest features and bug fixes.
