Dear All,
we have requirement , we have one GL which contains 14lakh open line items , we need to clear that account we know that we need to transfer the balance and make the balance Zero through F-02 , but when we want to see the open item balance system is throwing dump error / Abap run time error in FBL3n so we are unable to see the balance of total open items.
we check in the table BSIS there are 14 lakh open items , but we are unable to down load to excel file here also system is throwing ABAP run time error
we tried to clear through F.13 only 50k line items got clear rest still is open
any one help us .
Hi Hidyath,
If the all open items balance are 0, then run the report FBL3N, do mass changes by adding some value in the assignment field or some of the field and save it. Later in OB74 configuration you maintain the GL with the above field as a clearing criteria, later on do F.13. It will automatically clear the balance.

Have you looked into OB74 transaction configuration to increase the hit rate of F.13
If the profit centers are locked write substitutions in GGB1 and assign them in OBBH.
It would ideal to extend the open item clearing layout in F-03 would ideal to include new columns. It would help users to clear them easily by sorting.

Hi,
I can imagine a situation you describe. Though, of course, it was a mistake to allow this to happen. However, the only feasible solution would be clearing in portions. You have to divide your open items by group, say fiscal year, and clear them gradually.
