Plant to plant asset transfer with same assets no.

Hi expert,

My client requirement is transfer of assets from 1 plant to another plant with excise invoice.

but they want keep same no. of assets. is it possible ?

OR

can I do the change in time dependent tab change Plant name is it proper solution or anything else.???

please revert as early as possible.....

Hi Azharuddin,

If you are maintaining separate accounts for plants, then it is not advisable to change the plant in time dependent tab. Here you have to do transfer posting, but you need to keep same no in receiver plant. In that case you have to use the no range as external and at the time of creating assets input that no and create master data. However, if you are not maintaining the separate accounts for plants, then you can change the plant in time dependent tab with validity start date.

Hi,

According to me in Time Dependent data also if you change the plant then the report will show the new plant only so that can be tried out.
