Storage Section In SAP WM

Hi

My client have given me new requirement which is as follows

There will be two storage sections

1) Salable

2) Non Salable

Whenever the Put Away will take place it will be either in Storage Section Salable or non Salable

But when I do the Picking, it will only be from Salable

There are some material stored In Non Salable section too but not for sale.

If I have to make available the stock which is present in the Non Salable Section then first I have to move the material from Non salable to salable and then do the picking

Here my doubts are

1) How do I proceed ahead for the above given scenario

2) I have already given Salable area in the Storage Section Search, So system is deriving Salable Section for Put away & while picking also it populates Salable Section

Kindly suggest on this on Urgent Basis

What is the put away strategy you are using?

with storage section it is going to be bit difficult as you need to write the own custom logic during picking

just a thought why you are not looking to define the Non Saleable location as Storage type using this you can easily achieve the requirement output with standard SAP customization rather then any custom code
