Error while uploading date in MM/DD/YYYY format

Hi Experts,

While uploading the characteristic value data through standard MDG upload functionality we are getting error
for creationdate characteristic. Value should be uploaded in MM/DD/YYYY format but it is throwing attached error
"value 12/04/1999 is not numeric".

We have profile defined as MM/DD/YYYY in ECC for this characeteristic.

We tried it with DD.MM.YYYY, it is working fine, but with format MM/DD/YYYY it is throwing error.

Can you please suggest what could be the issue.

Thanks

Regards

First of all, the user ID WF-BATCH with the error messages clearly has DD.MM.YYYY in the user profile. See the next message that talks about validity dates.

Any way, have you tried using YYYYMMDD format?

Hi Abdullah,

Thanks for information.

So, what you are suggesting is if i change date profile of WF-BATCH from DD.MM.YYYY to DD/MM/YYYY then issue could be resolved.

Currently below date profile is there for WF-BATCH.

Just one doubt, will there be any effect on other place or functionality?

Thanks

You need to be consistent. If the user uploading the data has MM/DD/YYYY, then the data should follow suite. Similarly. if the user has DD.MM.YYYY, then the data should be in that format.

Again, I think if you use YYYYMMDD, it would work regardless of the format.
