SAP AS server definition not possible

Hello,

We just installed a new sandbox for our future migration to new SAP Manufacturing Suite 15.1.

So we have now NW 7.4 installed, and I installed latest NWDS version (7.3.1.16).

Problem is that I cannot define the SAP AS server in window->preferences... When I put hostname and instance number, nothing happen, not even any error message anywhere, just nothing!

Our instance number is 00, I don't know if this could be the issue... Or if we missed something in the NW configuration. I tried to define another AS, and it's ok, so it's not NWDS related I think.

Anyone having an idea before we open a ticket at SAP ?

Thanks

Regards

Olivier

Thanks Jun, I asked our application team to look into this...

They assigned me same roles as I had in previous sandbox, but looks like rules have changed from NW 7.3...

hi olivier,

from time to time i'm also facing this issue. possible solution: open the "SAP Management Console" - perspective (Window - Open Perspective) and add you system there. afterwards it should appear under SAP AS Server. if not - try to add it then there again,

Hi Christian,

Thanks for your fast answer, I tried, now I got a pop-up asking me credential for ADM user, but still nothing happen, so I guess I don't have enough privilege to define this...

I will check with our application team, do you know any specific role or action or... needed to perform this ?

hi olivier,

no problem. i think the user is either your j2ee_admin or administrator - user system account. at the moment i don't know the specific role...
