Outbound dispatch advice to cutomer in third party scenario

Hello all,

We have an EDI customer who would like to receive Dispatch advice messages from us for third party deliveries.Is there anything in standard SAP which can help us here?

The scenario is like below.

EDI order received, third party Sales order - PR - PO created and send to supplier.

Supplier send order response and Desadv to us which will create the inbound delivery against our PO in the system.

-> At this point we would like to trigger an outbound Disptach advice EDI message to the customer from our system.

The option of supplier sending dispatch advice directly to the customer is ruled out by the business.

I am looking at the option of triggering an EDI output from the inbound delivery and build a Desadv message to the customer via exits in the print program. Any suggestions with this?

Hi Greg

This makes sense to me if it is purely output to the customer you need.  You certainly don't need any additional document flow and the Desadv from the supplier is essentially their confirmation of despatch, only they are sending it to you and not the end customer.

So, yes, you should generate an output from the inbound delivery.
