Hi Experts,
We met a problem while installing SAP.
When coming to the step shown as picture below, the system gives no response even we click the 'NEXT' button.
I've been searching for specifications with relevant key words(such as 'Note the following important information') but find nothing.
Please do me a favor and thanks in advance.
OS:
ECC6.0 EHP7
SQL Server 2012
Windows 2012 R2
Hi, Panda
According to the attached picture, it seems you are doing a system copy:
SAP NetWeaver 7.4 Support Release 1> MS SQL Server > System cop...
The current situation with empty screen indicates that user database on target system hasn't been created successfully. The correct procedure should be using backup/restore or detach/attach to create the target user database first and then start sapinst to do the post-procedure.
Could you please try the following steps?
1, Close all of the opened sapinst.exe
2, Backup the current sapinst_dir folder and then delete all of the previous system copy files.
3, Delete the database <SID> from the SQL Server management Studio
4, Do the database copy again by backup/restore or detach/attach.
Please do follow SAP Note 151603 carefully.
5, Start sapinst from Scratch.
Best regards
Cherry.

Hi Panda,
1) First of all, make sure you are using the latest version of SWPM.
2) Make sure you have the following MS KB applied:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2820470
3) Take a look at the following logs from SWPM:
- sapinst_dev.log
- control.xml
- summary.html
- keydb.xml
sapinst_dev.log contains all the steps and messages from SWPM.
4) In case you don't find anything else, you can also use PROCMON to see what happens when you click in "next":
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb896645.aspx
5) If none of this helps. I suggest you to open a support incident under the component BC-INS-NT. Their SCN space is:
