Hi Experts,
We are using HTTP_AAE adapter with PI 7.31 dual stack and facing an issue with the inbound to SAP interface. We have provided the third party with the HTTP_AAE url and the user credentials(created in PI Java UME as a Service user) roles as below:
SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER
SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_J2EE
SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE
as mentioned in the link
HTTP Adapter (AAE) - SAP NetWeaver Process Integration Security Guide - SAP Library
However when the third party posted a document onto this URL, they get a HTTP 401-Unauthorised which means an issue with user name and password. Upon checking we found that there are no incorrect logons, lock on this user in Java UME and no logs in the inbound channel. We got an issue even with an external HTTP_AAE test tool as it prompted to enter the password again. Upon troubleshooting further, we tried using a Service user created on PI ABAP stack(SU01) and this time we were successful in getting the message on to PI AAE further to ECC. However the point which we fail to get clarity on is that is there a specific config in Java AS UME which points to ABAP being the data source in case of a dual stack PI despite using a Java only HTTP adapter? or is there something we are missing out as the Java user doesn't work.
Appreciate any help.
Cheers,
Sriram
