Need clarification on the usage of some Supply Planning KF

Hi,

In Supply Planning, we have 2 input KFs namely:

1) SubPeriodNum

2) SubPeriodsOfSupply

Can anyone please brief me the usage of thesetwo KFs?

Hi Saabitri,

SubPeriodsOfSupply is used to build inventory for a particular time period. It is an input to supply planning and system will cover demand of entire period, which is entered in this key figure and will create receipts in one lot.

With the KF SUBPERIODNUM you can introduce a smaller time scale by defining sub periods. The KF SUBPERIODSOFSUPPLY is referring to the units defined in SUBPERIODNUM.

If the heuristics should build up inventory for half a period you can set, for instance, SUBPERIODNUM to 30 and SUBPERIODSOFSUPPLY to 15
