FIM Functionality

Hi ,

We are loading the data from oracle to BPC, Our customer has a requirement where once the job is executed, it should load the data to one model and after the data is loaded to that model it should perform some calculations and again load the data to another model. Present they are loading the data through excel and then running a package link in BPC.

Do we have such type of functionality in FIM?

Also, i want to know the exact functionality of the below screen in FIM.

We have mapping in mapping table as per below.

If we add Aug-15 in the below screen, what will be result.

Please share your valuable ideas.

Thanks

Srikanth

Hello srikanth,

When FIM does the import, the default logic will automatically be executed.

As to automatically loading into models. Each job to BPC NW is linked to one specific model. So, you could create a batch that executes various jobs sequentially.

The screen just mimics what BPC offers in the DM; two packages for Import and Import+Append. The import than has options for overwrite and replace

So, this is not FIM functionality, but BPC.

See documentation on:

This note has some good explanations on the various modes
