Packing Station Print Profile Functionality

Hi All,

I'm looking for some clarification with regards to Print Profile Functionality in a packing station.

What is the benefit of using a print profile?

SAP help states that the printer for an output can be dynamically re-determined using a print profile eg: condition record has printer LOCL, but when it is processed using a packing station that has a print profile, then it can be re-determined to PRINTER01.

But this happens anyway if the packing station has a default printer!

So the only benefit I can see is if you want to generate multiple DIFFERENT outputs on multiple DIFFERENT printers.........................?

Am I correct or am I missing something??

Hi,

By using Print profile, You can assign outputs for multiple applications such as sales, billing shipping,HU etc.to packing stations.
