Dear Experts,
I am asking this question to clear my understand on SAPOSCOL/SAPSTARTSRV/SAPSERVICES etc. so please provide your inputs.
In SAP MMC, there are Four instances listed, all green.
1. CI
2. D/B
3. App. Server1
4. App. Server2
What should I do to achieve one of the Instances go Dis-appear (and NOT greyed-out ) ?
One way to achieve this is , if they are running on different hosts then Switch-off that Host machine.... But I am trying to know this from Windows services point of view...
In Task manager, I tried ENDING/Stopping SAPSTARTSRV.... SAP<SID>_nr... SAPHostExec, SAPHostCtrl .... but couldn't achieve,
Please help me.
System:
Windows 2012 R2

Hi,
Stop the Windows service "SAP<SID>_<Instance Number>" and change its startup type to "disable".
When you want to start this instance again, change the startup type of the service to "automatic" and start it again.

Isaías
