Windows Login/SQL Error in Enter System Parameters in Managed System Configuration- Solution Manager 7.1/Solman 7.1

Hi Experts

We have added our ECC system in Solman.

When running Solman_setup T-code, in Managed System Configuration>No.5 Enter System Parameters,

We were asked to put our ECC server domain\sidam password.

We have put our correct sidadm password but get below error.(We can remote desktop to ECC server using sidadm without any problem)

I have read below thread and SAP Note which saying that we can use sql user which is a member of sysadmin role

DB Parameters | SCN

1458291 - SolMan 7.1 Database Warehouse & Alerting for MSSQL

But, if possible I wan to use windows sidadm login.

I have also try to telnet port 1433 from our solman server to ecc server.

And the result is SQL Server port 1433 is open.

I really don't understand why user sidadm cannot logon

Please help.

Thank you,

Fadzly Iqbal

Hello:

In managed system configration, to be able to configure the managed system DBACOCKPIT usinh Windows authentication - In additin to the SAP Note: 1458291 - SolMan 7.1 Database Warehouse & Alerting for MSSQL

Please ensure below:

1. Your Solution manager <domian>\<sid>adm <domain>\<SAPService<sid> accounts are not domain admin accounts

2. the domain account that you are using for managed system is a member of sysadmin role

You don't have to use the sidadm account of the managed system.

Thanks
