How to Deploy IPS with SSL Enabled

I am building a data services environment on a windows enivornment on which we want SSL enabled.   In the IPS admin manuals it states that 3 things must be done to use SSL with IPS

1. IPS must be deployed with SSL enabled.

2. Create key and certificate files

3. Configure location of files

I have no issues with items 2 or 3.  But I do not know what is meant by the first and obviously most important step.

Do this in the Central Configuration Manager: SIA properties.

You have to stop the SIA first,before you can modify the settings.

Yes, that's why you know how to do steps 2 and 3. They are fully explained in the following sections

I know of only one place where you can enable SSL. I cannot remember it as an option during installation.

Thanks for the clarification, I am obviously a  little too literal at times.
