Parameters form subreport to Mainreport append values

Hello,

Hope Everything is Fine. I have Mainreport and subreport In subreport parameter it will be showing appending all database values in the parameter but in the mainreport same parameter it is not appending any values. I have to see the database values in the parameter below is the screenshot of mainreport and subreport snaps.

Hi Ramesh,

For the parameter to 'append all database values', it needs to be connected to a datasource.

Does the Main report connect to any datasource at all?

Thanks for your response. There will no be any Datasource in the Mainreport subreport there is database. So the while creating parameter in the Mainreport after adding the links while Executing the parameter has to show the all the Values in that particular parameter

A parameter in the Main Report cannot be loaded with values from the Subreport.

You should either consider adding a SQL query in the Main report for the prompt or create a prompt in the Subreport.

Yes Mainreport does not connect at all. only database connected with only subreport.

Hi,

You have to select a field in Value Field first. Without that Crystal does not know where to look.
You'll need to switch the parameter from static to dynamic. Once you've done that you will be able to select the data field that you want to use to supply values to the list of values.

Thanks for your response. Main report there will be the static parameter ex- customer Name

For this paramter while excecuting it has to show all the customers while excecuting the parameter.
