Want to make 'Short text' field in PR and PO display mode only for materials, not for Services

We want to make the 'short text' field in PR and PO as display mode for materials only, not for services because of problem mentioned in attached document. Any suggestions.

Have u assigned diff field group for service PO/PR type and material PO/PR types.

Hi,

   In OLME - Purchase order - Define Screen Layout at Document Level , use the field selection key PT0F and maintain the short text field as "display. This will make the short text as display only once you enter the material and the item category in blank. You can refer the other field selection keys starting with PT for other item categories as well.

    In the field selection key PT9F, maintain the short text as optional, which will allow to enter short text if its service item.

Hi,

PO/PR type assign with screen layout . you define different screen layout (field selections) for service and material and then as per u require for material PR/PO make short text fields display mode.

For service you make short text optional entry.

GO to SPRO and make new field selection key and assign with document type

Thanks for your reply. I already did the settings in spro. But the changes apply to both 'Materials' and 'Services'. Can you be more specific?
