Hi Experts,

We just did the system migration from old server(windows server 2003) to a new server(windows server 2012)

After migration, we got error RFC_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE in STMS

We check in SM59, and found out that the host still belong to old server.

Now, we want to change to new host.

But, unable to edit the RFC connection in SM59.

Could you please help?

BR,

Fadzly Iqbal

Go to SM59, open the RFC so its displayed on the screen.

In the transaction field, type in TOGL and press enter

do It in client 000

Hi,

This will not work in this case...

The transport system will overwrite the destination once a transport is triggered.

That is why it is required to reconfigure it at STMS .

Best case for him, go DDIC in 000 and blow it all away and re-create

Enter the RFC then put TOGL in the transaction field and press enter. It will unlock the RFC destination to make it editable.

Hello,

You cannot edit the destinations related to transport.

You need to access the transaction SMTS and reconfigure it from there.

These are the steps you should follow in case of *TMS*RFC's

  1. Logon to SAP system using non-SAP/DDIC* user in client 000. Execute transaction code STMS.
  2. Go to Overview > System. Then, go to Extras > Generate RFC Destinations.
  3. Test the establish connection. Go to SAP System > Check > Connection Test.
