Issue with upgrading universe from 3.x to 4.x

Hi,

I have upgraded my universe from 3.x to 4.x

Created some new folder and objects in the upgraded universe

This is working fine on fresh environment

But am facing issue is in below scenario

Suppose some customer is using BO 3.x version and might have some custom reports in his environment

So we will upgrade his universe and reports from 3.x to 4.x on his environment

then we will import our new biar on top of that so that his custom reports will be there and our modified universe will be there.

But when I am importing my biar on top of the existing customer BO environment then it is modifying the universe changes like joins and all but it is not showing the newly crated folder and objects.

We are supporting localization, we have not done any changes to the XLIFF files after creating the new folder

So what could be the reason, what am missing?

Hi,

You have mentioned upgraded universe is working fine but problem is happening with when you are migrating custom report.

in this case first migrate the universe and then then only migrate the  reports only without selecting the universe in the dependencies .

With this your changes will remain same.

We figured out the issue. The issue is with the code which is used for importing the biar.
