Physical Inventory for HU in WM system

Hi Experts ,

I am facing an issue while carrying out Physical Inventory for HU in WMS system .I am using HUINV05 to clear out the Inventory diff . ideally Material Document should have Movement type 711 and It should correct the WM storage bin level stock also . But in my case It is taking Movement type 702 and not updating the WM stock even though SLOC is WM managed .This is happening in Quality system but when I  tried the same process in SANDBOX and It is working fine . Can anyone please advise why system is taking 702 IM movement type not 711 and not correction  WM bin level stock .

Have you assigned movement types from 711 to 718 in the HU customizing for your quality system? (SPRO - Logistics General - HU Management - Define Movement Types for Inventory Adjustment Postings)

If you don't have those assigned, the WM inventory won't be cleared.

Hi Miguel ,

You are correct . This is wrongly set up in QA system . QA is having Movement type 701/702 . Can you please tell me what is the impact if I change the Movement type to 711/712 . Is it going to have any Impact on IM Physical Inventory processes . Is there any setting to control only for specific plants .

Also I have checked in production , Movement type in Configuration is 701/702 but I found there are some Material doc posting with Movement type 711 /712 through MB11 . Can we post the Inventory diff for HU through transaction MB11 even if we have 701/702 movement configured in SPRO .

The difference between a Sandbox and a quality system lies usually in missing transports.

Check your table T320 and see if it is equal.
