SAP Cloud Identity: assign groups for Corp IdP users

Hi all

I'd like to configure a corporate identity provider as IdP in my SAP cloud identity tenant.

The procedure about how to do that is available on the official help pages.

In addition, I'd like to assign groups to the users authenticated by that corp IdP (i.e. not the local ones)

Does anyone know if this is supported?

Hi Vincenzo,

The requested by you feature is not possible at the moment, because the SAP Cloud Identity forward the user attributes to the application and doesn’t create a user into the cloud. You can configure those groups in the corporate IdP and then SAP Cloud Identity will send them to the application.

You can check out the other on-premise integration - https://help.hana.ondemand.com/cloud_identity/frameset.htm?e5e9662146f948b49c11d01284231d75.html, and in this case it is possible to assign a cloud group to the on-premise users.
