Delete temporary BW query bookmarks older than (default 120 days).

Dear Team,

We are upgrading SAP BI 7.0 system to SAP BW 7.4 on HANA.

The given below activities need to be done as pre up gradation.

Delete temporary BW query bookmarks older than (default 120 days).

Delete sent BW query bookmarks older than (default 2 days).

As per my knowledge book marks is a option in web reports, but we are not using web reports and we are using only BEX Analyser.

In this case do I need to do the above activities? can you please suggest me for the same.

Hi Suresh,

I think, you can delete bookmarks with report RSWR_BOOKMARK_DELETE from SE38.

Or check RSA1OLD > Reporting Agent > Bookmarks > Delete Bookmarks (trash) icon > Created before...

Hi,

You can delete queries for different queries objects, how Workbooks with tx RSZDELETE, end then reference by time.

Or all temporary objects, is possible delete them with program SAP_DROP_TMPTABLES

.

No, bookmark is only a web functionnality.The equivalent for the BEX Analyzer would be the "save as" function.

SAP includes a lot of housekeeping tasks in their upgrade tasks. As all housekeeping activities, these are only a recommendation.

Execute Report RSWR_BOOKMARK_REORG (if you still use 3.x bookmarks, execute report RSRD_ADMIN_BOOKMARKS_3X instead)
